Leveraging its understanding of the Pakistani market and strong local business resources, Matrix, Coshine’s local partner in Pakistan, played an important role in facilitating the signing of the trilateral MOU during the conference and creating opportunities for the three parties to explore cooperation with local banks on card payment projects. The signing also reflects their shared commitment to expanding card payment businesses within the broader context of China–Pakistan economic and trade cooperation.

Advancing Mobile Wallet-Linked Prepaid and Debit Card Programs

Building on the global cooperation between Coshine and T Wallet on mobile wallet and card payment programs across multiple markets, Coshine, T Wallet and Matrix will work together to advance mobile wallet-linked card programs tailored to the Pakistani market. Under the trilateral MOU, the three parties will focus on prepaid and debit card programs linked to mobile wallets, exploring card payment solutions supporting major international card networks, including Mastercard and Visa, and advancing the development and application of relevant card products.

As part of the collaboration, Coshine will leverage its SaaS card issuing processing platform and extensive experience in global card payment processing to support the relevant projects with issuing processing, card lifecycle management, transaction authorization processing, and API integration. Coshine will also facilitate BIN Sponsorship arrangements by connecting and coordinating with issuing institutions. By combining Transsion's mobile wallet products and market presence with Matrix's local business resources and established network in Pakistan, the three parties aim to advance cooperation with local banks and financial institutions, strengthen the integration of mobile wallets and card payment services, and expand the application scenarios for related card products. The three parties are also advancing their first local bank project in Pakistan, which is expected to launch a Mastercard debit card program.
